( Until yesterday morning, Crouch Sr. had been unaware of The Quibbler, and so had, with cautious logic, assumed that to be the case for the rest of the world as well. When the first letter of concern had reached his office inbox that morning - the ramblings of a mindless, easily-convinced citizen - he knew then that it would be necessary to take the appropriate precautions. This woman, this journalist, has constructed a bomb of exceptionally simple design of mixing fact with fiction, and though easy to dismantle he knows of someone just clumsy enough to prove her right with one false step. When his instructions arrive, the owl gives Barty a glaring, yellow look so oddly reminiscent of his father that it almost seems apart of the message. )
