*Lily hadn't seen Snape since Harry spat up on him in November. Now it's February, nearing March, and Moody has requested she get more information from their informant.
James still isn't keen on the idea, but at the end of the day her journey to Snape's flat is about Order business, not grudges. Nevertheless it's hard to stand in front of his flat door and only think of the Order. She feels countless emotions at once, anger, confusion, and a deep empty ache of sadness win out over all others.
One thing is certain: She's not particularly happy or excited to be there.
With a sigh, Lily knocks on the door and waits, inspecting her chipping green nail varnish all the while.*
