*Fabian's not pleased about the memo. He's not pleased about any of this, and as he stands outside Umbridge's office there's no trace of the light-hearted joker as whom he's so well known. He doesn't trust Umbridge, he doesn't like her politics, he thinks her policies are discriminatory and just all-around shit, and she more or less goes against most of the moral code to which he holds himself so strictly. He's all for finding those werewolves responsible for the attacks. They deserve to be brought to justice, no doubts at all there - but he has a horrible feeling that a lot of innocent folks are going to get caught up in this. And he doesn't want to be part of that.
Tact, though. That's the thing, is he has to be politic about this if he wants out. If he can even get out. So he's not gonna pull a Molly and get angry, he's not going to do what he usually does and go hard-nosed about it. He rather wishes he could've sent Gideon in to do this for him, though, except they aren't twelve anymore. Gideon's always been so much better at this kind of thing.
But. There's nothing for it, and he's never one to back down from a challenge. Determined to play his cards right, Fabian knocks on the door and waits, uncharacteristically still and serious.*
