*The letter, her Valentine, is so terribly dimly written that is doesn't seem to have been read over even once for mistakes or horrific embarrassment. The reality that it had taken him quite a while to write only makes it worse.*
Dear Miss Victoria Higgs,
It came to my attention that today is a special one. Of course the origin of the holiday is rather too convoluted if it's really examined. Holy days should be certain, I believe, at the very least agreed upon. Most literature references at least one beheading in relation to the day so it just seems unfit to celebrate. You, however, are fit to celebrate. You are a very certain woman, beyond the value of such an uncertain day. I would like to take this time to express my good opinion of you, and to once again tell you how satisfying it is to know you are here as well.
Thinking of you,

Date: 2011-02-21 02:41 am (UTC)My dearest Regulus,
It is always a delight to hear from you. So much so that I fear I place perhaps too much sentimental value on your written words. It shall one day be a source of great embarrassment to our children when I will sit them down and show them our correspondences. Perhaps they will learn from our own silliness.
Yours always,
- Victoria Higgs

Date: 2011-03-01 11:42 am (UTC)Dear Victoria,
After reading your message I thought it might perhaps be prudent to clarify that I do not find you to be silly. My remarks were aimed at the origins of this holiday, which are strangely scattered, as I'm sure you see for yourself. Your letters to me have always proved to be very well written and becoming, as a woman's should be.
How has your garden fared though the Winter? Do the plants live?
