*Money is certainly not something the Black family is in any danger of running out of - particularly not when the heir of the household rarely makes extravagant expenditures. At least - the heir of the household used to never make extravagant expenditures. However, in the past few weeks, Orion has watched as bank statements have poured in. Watched as hundreds of galleons have trickled out of the vault. Watched this without the slightest trace of alarm and only a trace of suspicious amusement.

It's rare that anything Regulus does would incite Orion's curiosity - in fact it rather seems like his son goes out of his way to prevent inciting anyone's curiosity - yet, presently, the invisibility act has failed, and Orion lies in wait, ready to sort out this new mystery.*

*Regulus takes as many of his meals alone as he can, and has only left his room lately when he must and no one is around to see him. But tonight staying inside his own room inside his own head is getting to him so he saves Kreacher the trip up the stairs and comes down to the dining room. His father is already seated but Regulus hopes if he's quiet enough he can get though dinner without having to have much conversation, but still take a much needed break from difficult thoughts.*

If that's true then he hardly needs to be homeless, that would only make the matter worse.
